Thursday I'll be heading off to this beautiful BEACH in Fort Lauderdale where I'll meet up with Katie and Jennifer for a long weekend of surf, sand and sleep! You have no idea how totally excited I am about this trip! Thad is such a good sport, I think he's actually excited for me too! :) Maybe when I get back I'll have to stop giving him a hard time about his ticket in Texas on his ski trip last year and the warrant that was about to be put out on him for not paying it! Well, maybe not!
I have our snorkeling stuff ready to pack, which consists of a pair of pink fins (I have no idea where they came from, but they're so bright I'll probably scare away all the fish) and a child-size mask and snorkel that I found in the beach toys bucket in the barn. I hope the mask fits on my face, it's still covered in sand so I haven't tried it on yet but it looks like it just might cover my eyes! I don't know how much I'll like this snorkeling stuff. I tried it on our honeymoon in Hawaii. They said to crumble crackers around you so the fish will come close by and boy did they come close! One of them bit me and freaked me out. The next time I tried snorkeling was in Cancun but I was pretty much hypervenilating and getting claustrophobic because I couldn't figure out the breathing in and out through the snorkel, so I couldn't really do it. Then I got the salt water all over my mouth and then in my mouth, and then I threw up in the ocean! Hopefully 3rd time will be a charm and I'll love it and see some beautiful things!
I think we're going to go to the SPA for a day at the hotel. Maybe get a pedicure that of course is 3 times the price of getting it at home, but then you get to enjoy the facilities for that day. The spa pool and equipment and classes. I would love to try yoga or pilates, or the abs class. They have a class where you walk down the beach 1.5 miles in deep sand, then back up in knee high water. Fun right? But I think that one was at 7:30 in the morning, don't think we'll make that one!
I need to make a trip to the library this week and grab a couple books that will keep me entertained while soaking up the sun poolside or on my chair at the beach. I still have Amanda's vampire book I haven't started yet, got sidetracked by CIA mystery and murders books! Good stuff I promise. It would probably be nice to catch up on the laundry so everyone can wear clean clothes while I'm gone, and get at least a few things to stock the freezer and cupboards so there is actually food in the house. But I do have an OU/Texas Bball game to go to tomorrow night, Harrison's friend coming over Tuesday, lunch with my awesome visiting teachers on Wednesday, Thursday folders to get done in the morning and then a plane to catch in the afternoon! And somewhere between all that I need to make it to the gym and figure out what summer clothes I can still squeeze into for the trip! Sorry Thad, you might have to take care of the house by yourself. :)
So I was talking to Katie the other day, and she told me that THAD was going to OBAMA'S INAUGURATION!! Yes, I heard it from Katie!! That is super exciting and he'll have so much fun, but our planes will cross in the air on Monday and we won't see each other until Thursday... a whole week. Luckily we have awesome friends who will help take care of the kids until I get home! Thanks friend! Funny how I always find out what he's doing from OTHER PEOPLE! Thanks for keeping me in the loop Katie!

CAN you please pack me in your suitcase, I dont eat much... you wont even know Im there. I Will sit by the pool and beach and oops wait I have a date on Monday with some really adorable kids. NEvermind. Have FUN, I will miss you.
