Our Weekend

I thought I would post some pictures of the kids and our latest adventures.

Saturday we loaded up and headed over to OU for a family bike ride. The weather was BEAUTIFUL!! Low 70s, you can't ask for much better than that in JANUARY!!! We borrowed Sarah's trailor and brought Marley along with us. Harrison usually rides his own bike, but decided to ride with Marley this time. He was really cute. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the two of them sitting together! We are really enjoying having all the new kid bikes, and the trailor to haul them all over town!

Jackson and Miles took advantage of the many steps leading up to the buildings, and even some leading DOWN to the doors! Total DARE DEVILS!!! But would you expect anything less from a Balkman boy?? Even Adeline joined in and headed down a few steps.

Back at the ranch....here is Harrison's idea of babysitting! And unfortunately, this isn't the first time Zoe has been locked up in Marley's crate! But fortunately, she's a good sport about "playing" with Harrison! I think she kinda likes pretending to be a dog. Marley won't eat the hard doggy treats like Scooby Snacks and Milkbone that I bought for him, but I can't even remember how many times I've caught Zoe walking around the house munching on them! YUCK! I mean totally in her mouth EATING them!!

Here are cousins Miles and Sterling....and new cousins Marley and Sundance.

Sunday was a big day for us! Harrison was officially a Sunbeam at church and our ward moved to the Noble building. Although not everyone is happy about the move, I really don't mind! We drive straight out 48th with only a few stop signs and no traffic. The building is cute and small and everyone fits perfectly. My only complaint is that I subbed in Primary for Miles class, and when the teenage boys finally got out of their room so we could go in for our lesson it was the hottest STINKIEST room I have been in in a LOOOOOONG TIME!! GROSS!!!! Merrilee....you better bring a fan and air freshener next week!!!! Here are the kids heading out the door. Notice Marley trying to lick Harrison in the picture! I love it!! Yeah, the tree is still up. But hopefully it will be coming down this week! Why rush! :)

Princess Zoe wearing one of her "Dress Lady" dresses. Thanks to Katie who goes to the sale, emails pictures from her phone, and then actually SENDS them to me when they still fit!! Amazing!! I'm already excited about next year! For those of you who want to get on the "picture by phone" shopping list, you'll have to go to Katie's blog listed to the side and let her know you would love her to be your personal shopper the next time the Dress Lady has a sale! I'm sure she would do it for a small fee like some yummy Thai food....or a trip to Florida!

Here is Harrison....his first day as a SUNBEAM!!! Here he is showing you how excited he is to finally become a Sunbeam and go to PRIMARY instead of NURSERY (which he LOVED!!) Yes, he is actually SMILING in this picture!

And here he is showing you what is really important about going to chuch....SEEING REAGAN!! Seriously, I don't make this up! Above is his latest smile, so enthusiastic I know! So lately when I try to take his picture I say "think of Reagan" who he absolutely LOVES and sometimes I will get a better smile. On Sunday, when he wouldn't really smile, I said "Show me how happy you'll be when you're in Primary with Reagan!" and this is what I got....I really think this is the BEST smile I've ever gotten out of Harrison!!

Marley and Zoe...just way too cute!!

Wow! A post completely devoid of any mentioning my lead foot? Could it be that the drive to Noble is so easy that I didn't have to speed?

Amy left out that we only had four crashes on the bike ride Saturday! The kids all blamed it on their brand new hand brakes not working (Santa's elves better step it up next year) and on mom and dad being in the way.
