Christmas Break

Christmas Break has been so much fun! We played and played and played! Thad took lots of time off and it was really nice to have him playing with us. We went roller skating, to the movies and the OKC Zoo. We had Sundance and Rascal with us while the Warnicks spent their break in Utah, and it was so much fun to watch all the doggies play together! We played in the snow and enjoyed a true White Christmas!! It was fabulous!!

The Zoo was a great day! We don't go up there very often so we had a super fun time seeing all the animals and of course, taking lots of pictures!

I don't even know what the kids liked best, they loved it all, but I have to say that the most memorable part was the giraffes and ostrich! We've had bad luck with ostriches at the zoo before, so I warned the kids to stay away from the fence. Well, Jackson got the idea to shake his booty at one of them, and it actually nipped his bottom! ha ha Can't say we didn't warn you! That was funny!

Then down the trail a little bit more was a giraffe right at the fence. The kids started holding up dead leaves on the ground and he started leaning over and eating it right out of their hands!!! It wa amazing! Who needs to go to the Exotic Animal Park when you have a giraffe head right in your face at the zoo!

On the way home, we stopped at the Capitol to grab a Christmas ornament and got a cute picture of the kids in front of the tree.
We actually got SNOW! Yes!! Oklahoma had a WHITE CHRISTMAS and it was so much fun and so pretty! The kids had fun sledding and making forts, and the dogs had fun running and playing in the snow. I'll admit the in and out, in and out, in and out and all the wet clothes got a little old but the hot chocolate was always yummy! Zoe even got out in the snow for a few minutes, then came right back in minus her gloves, with bright red hands crying and saying "cold, cold!" The kids sledded, built forts and had a great time! This break has been one of the best!!
