I am SOOOOOOOO excited! We're planting more trees! Last year we planted 12 around the front of the property, and this year we are finally getting some planted in the back. Ever since we moved into the house 9 years ago I have always had a dream of totally enclosing our 5 acres with trees and bushes so you don't see anything around. No houses or cars or lights, no stinky horses next door, just fun in the country! I guess that's my way of feeling like I'm out in the middle of no where on 1000 acres when I'm on my perfect plot of just 5! We have the funnest campfire place in the the back and I want to enclose it with thick trees and bushes so you feel like you're up in the mountains. Well, as close to mountains as you can get in Norman, OK. Which isn't very close, but at least maybe we can get a "mountain air"' feel with some pine trees and ever greens. I wonder if they'll stay alive in this heat! We even have a water fall when it rains and the pond overflows so it will be just like we're having campfires and camping out at Snoqualmie Falls! Oh the memories!! It won't be the Snoqualmie Lodge for sure, but it will be fun! So we put 3 Cypress and 4 Oak trees along the back. I want to put more trees and bushes! And then a cute white arbor for the kids to walk under when they go back and forth to play! Oh I'm so excited! Nothing like being out of work! We never had the time or money before, now we have 1/2 of that so we figured we might as well go for it!!! :) I'll post pictures later after I take them. Right now we have the trailor full of mulch sitting out in the middle. That needs to get out of the way! :)
OK, so I have another Harrison story. I laughed so hard because he was TOTALLY amazed! The other day we were driving home, and Harrison asked me where we were. I told him we were almost home, just down the street. He said "No, mom. WHERE are we?" So I said we were in Norman, in the state of Oklahoma, in the country of the United States of America on the planet Earth. There was silence for a couple seconds, and then in the most amazed voice he said "YOU MEAN WE ARE ON THE PLANET EARTH????" I think he might have even said that was totally awesome, or radical his new word! He said Earth was up in the sky and couldn't believe we were actually on it! I absolutely LOVE all the things he says, such wonder in his eyes and voice! I couldn't help but smile and hide a little laugh! Oh, what am I going to do when he goes off to Pre-K in the Fall? Zoe's not allowed to grow up, but maybe she should start talking soon so she can stay saying all the cute things that make me love being a mom so much!
