Harrison's Garden

OK, that was really wierd! I just typed up a post (the one I'm going to type again!!!!) and when I posted it I ended up on the PRIMARY blog! I have no idea what the heck happened! And I couldn't copy it, so I finally just deleted it, and then I couldn't get back to THIS blog, and it kept saying it didn't exist! I kinda started freaking out, and then thought maybe I'm supposed to just go to bed! But I finally got on....don't ask me how! So now I'm going to attempt to write what I already wrote and deleted!

SO...today I was up at the school doing Thursday folders, and when I was leaving I saw Jackson's teacher walking out of the cafeteria so I went over to say hi. She said she was worried about Jackson because he hardly ate, and usually he can "really put it down!" So I said I would grab him and go get something else to eat. I signed him out of the office at 12:05, walked around to the playground, she starts blowing her whistle and yelling for Jackson, he comes running, WE go running to the car and head off to Walmart. So we got sticky balls, and a container of HUGE strawberries!!! I don't remember strawberries being this big! We stuffed our faces on the way back to school, signed him back in at 12:25 and handed off lunch to Adeline! I'm so awesome!

Anyway....so then I head over to pick up the kids from Sarah's. And I tell Harrison I have a treat in the car for him. I have to say he wasn't as excited about the strawberries as we were, but he still ate at least 4! And these things were HUGE! And then he said they were kinda sour. I told him we needed to wait for summer to get the really good ones! They I say "Hey! We should plant a strawberry patch this summer!" And he agrees, and then goes on to tell me how he has been waiting all year long for "food seeds". I just nod my head, uh-huh, uh-huh, and keep talking. Harrison keeps going on and on about how he has been waiting A YEAR to plant his food seeds, and he can't wait to do it, and when can he plant his food seeds, and how he's going to plant his food seeds, and on and on and on. This kid is such a talker! So I finally realize....yes, I'm a little slow! I can check a kid out of school and buy lunch at Walmart and have him checked back in 20 minutes later, but I'm not sure what "food seeds" are....that Harrison wants to plant a garden! And he has been waiting a YEAR to do it! And he needs to burn the branches so we can get down to the dirt to plant his food seeds, but then we'll have FOOD! Now if he only had a mother who could keep those food seeds alive and growing all summer long!

LOL! Go ask my old neighbor at 1515 Eisenhower, which seeds to buy. He has had a successful garden for over 20 years, and even sells on the farmers market.

Have fun!!

BTW, I am way impressed that you could get to/back in 20 minutes!!
