Harrison turned 4 on March 10 and I don't know what I'm going to do! He's now officially old enough to go to Pre-K in the Fall and that means it will only be Zoe and me home ALL DAY! True...he'll only be at school for 2 1/2 hours, but still! I've never been one of those moms who gets sad and cries when it's the first day of school, I'm usually celebrating that the kids are back at school where they belong....but Harrison is my little buddy! And Zoe absolutley loves him! I guess we better enjoy the next 5 1/2 months before he starts school....

Saturday we had his friend party and had a lot of fun at his Horsey Ho Down! He had a few friends from church and the neighbor kids over, his cousins never made it. We played pin the tale on the donkey, lasso the horsey with a hula hoop, stick horse races and potato sack races. The kids got bandanas and sheriffs badges and a stick horse from the Dollar Tree and a bag of candy that Zoe LOVED! We totally lucked out and the day ended up being BEAUTIFUL so we could do the games and eating outside. It was a very fun, very low key party and we spent the last 1/2 hour just hanging around outside while the kids played together. I actually had to make the cupcakes, Adeline was too busy with her friends that had slept over after Jackson's concert. But Adeline, don't think you're getting out of baking again! The next b-day YOU are making the cake! :)

So we celebrated his B-Day in true horsey style. That's what you do when you live on 5 acres! Of course I'm too cheap to rent him a real horse, so his b-day was drug out almost 2 weeks and I still don't think he knows when he actually TURNED 4! The week before his big day, we went out to ride horses with his friend Skylar. They had a great time riding Blaze the pony, playing in the dirt, feeding the horses, chasing lady bugs, eating lunch in the motor home and taking Skylar to school! Thanks so much Sandy! You made his day!
Then the day before his birthday, we decided to actually celebrate since ON his b-day we wouldn't be home at all. His actual day fell on the WORST day of the week right now...Tuesday! We go from the school to tutoring, guitar, piano, swimming lessons, baseball then home for bed! So on Monday we had his party! Now we didn't decide this until that afternoon so when the kids got home from school Miles and me went shopping for his present, dinner, balloons, etc. while Adeline stayed home and made one of her awesome birthday cakes!! We had pizza, played pin the tale on the donkey and opened presents. I think he was more excited about his Dollar Tree gifts (bubbles, pirate gun, gum, and a kite) then the basketball hoop from us. Although the hoop has been a LOT of fun! He still is not into the "sharing" his new present part. And especially if your name begins with a JACK and ends with SON...don't touch the ball!!!
