Tonight was Jackson's rock concert at Brothers. I know I got a lot of crap about where it was, but it ended up being a very cool place for a rock band to perform! And I can't believe how many people came out to watch! We have the BEST friends! Thanks so much to everyone!!! Stan, Andrew, Bobby, Juli, Jeff, Jack, Charlie, Stephanie, Brian, Cassidy, Savannah, Wyatt, Teddy, Pam, Carson, Bailey, Amy, Dylan, Jake, D, Todd, Stefanie, Malorie, Rod, Christine, Quinn, Corbin, Camden, Rick, Becky, Steve, Heather, Matt, Heather, Tyler and his fiancee, Mr. and MRS. LINK (Jackson's Kindergarten teacher!!!), Mr. Thomas and his fiancee (PE teacher...I had no idea he was engaged and she is adorable!), David, Rylie, Lexi, Sterling, Donovan, Hudson and Reagan (who played hide and go seek with Harrison most of the time) and I'm sure I'm missing more!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT SUCH A GREAT NIGHT!!!!

The night started out with us dropping off Zoe at the Cooper's...Thanks so much Maribel and everyone for watching her!!! And heading off to Brothers at 6:30 to get a good seat. I lucked out and got a great parking spot unlike everyone else, and walked in and got the tables right at the front of the stage. It soon started filling up, lots of friends showing up, Jackson's buddies from school and their families, friends from church. I told everyone it started at 7:30 and he would be the second or third band up. Well....the first band started and said they were going to play 13 songs!!!!! And they DID!!! They went on and on and on and on and on....it was the band that never ends....it just goes on and on my friend..... So I'm apologizing and hoping everyone stays! And after an hour or so they finally finish up! Then the next band, then the next (but they only played 3 or 4 songs each) and then FINALLY after 9:00 it was time for COLLATERAL DAMAGE!!! By this time there must have been 50 people packed in that had come to see Jackson, plus the other people that were there for the other bands. It was AWESOME!!! Standing room only!! It was the coolest thing I've ever seen to have that many people come to watch him play and sing! I had told Thad this afternoon I felt like I was going to throw up I was getting so nervous for him, and Jackson acted like he was back in his bedroom playing by himself! He did a great job! And everyone cheered and yelled! It was AWESOME!! Thanks everyone for coming and making it a great night for a very lucky 9 year old! They played When I Come Around, Born To Be Wild, Rock You Like a Hurricane and Come Together. He had some cool solos and showed off some new tricks like the pick slide in Rock You Like A Hurricane....when he first showed me that one he said "Chad said I can do this!" I thought he was going to break a string. He's so awesome! The only bummer was it was pretty dark for the video camera so it's not very good. But Donovan brought his awesome camera too so maybe he has a better recording! Hopefully!!! At one point during the concert I turned the camera around and there was this ridiculous crowd all standing and cherring for Jackson...and Mrs. Link even had made a sign that said "I heart Jackson"! Awesome!!
So now we're home and Jack, Carson, Camden and Bailey all came to sleepover.....I'm sure they're all sleeping, right??!!!! Miles and Harrison went to the French's house to sleepover. Tomorrow is Harrison's 4th B-day Party! A horsey party. I'm sure it'll be great fun!

Just for the record, that is NOT Coors inside the glass. It's Root Beer, ROOT Beer. You can't judge a glass by its cover.
Jackson rocked. I even saw him drop his pick during one of the songs but he didn't miss a chord. This here country sheriff sure loved watching him play. Although Brothers doesn't have the same down home country feel as the Boar's Nest. Maybe Jackson and Collateral Damage will come play in Hazzard County sometime.
Wish I could have been there! Dvaid said it was awesome!
I'm sorry we didn't make it out ... although I think my toes are thankful to not be stepped on and squished by so many people. What a great opportunity. Congrats to Jackson and his awesome fam!
