Lately when I’m in the car with Harrison my conversation goes like this
Harrison: Mom, are we going to the USA
Me: Yeah, we’re in the USA
Harrison: No. Are we GOING to the USA
Me: Yes Harrison, we are IN the USA
Harrison: But Mom, are we GOING to the USA
Me: Yes, we’re almost there. We’re going to Dr. Gilson’s office
Harrison: But Mom, I “fought” he wasn’t in the USA
Me: No Harrison, he is in the USA. We are already in the USA
Harrison: But Mom, I “fought” we were going to the USA
Me: No, we’re going to Dr. Gilson’s office
Harrison: Oh yeah, this is the USA. Wait, this isn’t the USA
Me: Harrison, we are IN the USA, we LIVE IN the USA and we are ALREADY AT
the USA.
Harrison: But Mom, I want to go in the REAL USA. The whole entire family wants to go
to the USA.
Harrison: But Mom, I want to play with toys.
Me: OK, when we get home.
Harrison: No Mom, I want to play with toys at the USA
Me: What kind of toys are at the USA
Harrison: Cars and trucks and trains
Me: OK, you can play with them at home in the USA
Harrison: No Mom, not at home. At the USA
Me: Harrison, do you mean the YMCA????
Harrison" Oh yeah, the YMCA. Mom are we going to the USA???????
Don't you wish you could talk to a 3 year old all day long? Hilarious!!
