Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!! I am soooooooo excited I can hardly stand it! I haven' t been this excited about Christmas since I was a kid. That's gotta mean it's gonna be good! I keep telling the kids that but I don't think they are grasping how good it's really going to be! :) "It's gonna be dog gone good!" The pies are cooling, the fudge is setting up, the table is almost set, the house is clean, the presents are wrapped, the pizza dough is rising, the root beer is chillin'! I'm feeling pretty ready.

Uncle Stan and Aunt Gayle stopped by to wish us a Merry Christmas and drop off gift cards to Toys R Us for the kids. Thanks so much!!! They're already begging to go shopping! Since they were here, we trapped them and made them watch a couple family videos. They were good sports! :) The kids also got to climb up on the roof and sprinkle the reindeer dust that Sister Blackman gave them. Thanks Maureen! I'll post the pictures later. They were sooo excited!! Now there's no way Santa can miss our house, and the reindeer won't have to wait for Santa to bring the carrotts out when he's done, they'll have a snack while Santa is inside enjoying cookies and milk!

So last week was our 15th Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to us. Too bad Thad was in California, but he made up for it when he got home. With some beautiful bling! Yes, getting out of the speeding tickets definately helped with my present. A beautiful aquamarine (my birthstone) and diamond ring. I keep showing the kids and saying "make sure when you are married you buy your wife beautiful presents like this!" and then they say "Mom, you already told us that!" What can I say, I don't want them to forget! :) Thanks honeybun! I love it!!

So, I am finally getting my girls trip! Thad went skiing on a boys trip last year with his bud Donovan. They drove out to New Mexico and skiied for a couple days and had a blast! They even got there extremely fast so they could spend more time on the slopes and less time in the car....as I found out much later when I got the notice of a warrant out for Thad's arrest for an unpaid speeding ticket in Texas!!! See....you should always come clean to your wife. She ALWAYS finds out! So after patiently waiting for almost a year, I am packing up and heading out! Sorry Taryn, I just couldn't wait for you any longer! I'm heading off to the BEACH in Ft. Lauderdale January 15-19. I think I have Katie talked into it. After all, it will be her birthday! Come on John, you can manage without her for a few days! And Jennifer, I'll be in YOUR part of the country! If Thad can handle it with me gone, Justin sure can! If anyone else wants to go let me know. But I'm dibbing a bed right now!! I figure in 10 years when all the cousins are big and nobody has a husband in school, we will be taking lots of these trips! Or will we be paying college tuition and staying home?? :)

OK, gotta go finish the pizza so we can begin our Christmas Eve traditions and get on with Christmas morning!! Yeah!!!! Is anyone as excited as I am??????!!!!!!!!!?????????? It's 5:57! Can we read, sing, act, open and put the kids to bed yet?????? :)
