Jackson's Last Football Game

Saturday morning was our first and second playoff game for Jackson and the Little Axe 5th grade team. Due to some small town league drama we were without our QB and Head Coach and went 0-2 in the playoffs, but the team still played their hearts out and went out in style. Is there any other way to go out when your little sister shows up with her hot pink tutu, black boots and Power Rangers cell phone?
The second game of the day Jackson was a team captain and went out for the coin toss.
He's the little guy in the middle!

Jackson and Sterling always sticking together....look at that great hair too!

Jackson, Sterling and Coach Ray after an awesome season!

Jackson...we're proud of you for sticking with it even though you didn't always want to! As a 4th grader playing "up" on the 5th grade team you were AWESOME!! You are a great football player and always did your best whether it was returning a punt, bringing some big guy down or playing back and getting a hand off. I'll never forget all the times you were lined up against some big kid that was a whole head taller than you, and you didn't let him pass! You would push and shove back just as hard as he was pushing you, doing everything you could until one time he finally just stuck his arm out and pushed down on your helmet! Then your looked over at your coach, and in a proud moment he just nodded his head at you and yelled "Good job! Good job!"
Good job Jackson! Can't wait for next year!
